§ Mr. RUNCIMANThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative, notice having been given to the small holders in question in consequence of the sale of the property. The county council are endeavouring to acquire other land for them, and have received an offer of ninety-eight acres with vacant possession on Lady Day from the purchasers of the estate. This offer is now under the consideration of the council.
