HC Deb 20 June 1912 vol 39 cc1817-8
2. Mr. DILLON

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, whether the Egyptian Committee have applied to him for information as to the particular articles in their organ, "Egypt," which have been complained of by the Egyptian Government as justifying their prohibition of that newspaper; whether he has read these articles; and whether he will state to the House what are the publications in Egypt which he considers to be calculated to disturb public order?

Sir E. GREY

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. I have not read all the articles. In regard to the third part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to his question on the same subject on 16th May, and especially to the answer given in regard to point 4 and the concluding portions of that question—to which I have nothing to add.
