§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Mr. Montagu)The Government of India last year introduced a Bill into the Legislative Council on the lines of the White Phosphorus Match Prohibition Act. In view of representations that the information before the Council was insufficient, the Bill has been withdrawn. It is intended to reintroduce it in the next Winter Session of the Council.
EARL of RONALDSHAYWill the hon. Gentleman say whether the Government have taken into the consideration the fact that owing to their sartorial arrangements, or rather the absence of them, boxes are of no use to millions of Indian peasants?
