HC Deb 13 June 1912 vol 39 cc1056-7
74. Mr. KING

asked the Home Secretary whether the Metropolitan Police are investigating the case of Frederick J. Haverley, of Lawford Road, Kentish Town, who is stated to have been kidnapped, drugged, bound, tortured, imprisoned, and branded by certain persons unknown; and whether he can report any elucidation of the mysteries of this case?

Mr. McKENNA

The matter has been carefully investigated by the police. I understand there are no mysteries in this case. It is a case of hallucination.
