HC Deb 11 June 1912 vol 39 c672
4. EARL of RONALDSHAY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he is now in a position to give the House any information as to the constitution of the Société d'étude, which has been formed for the promotion of the Trans-Persian railway scheme?

Sir E. GREY

I have nothing to add to the answer returned to the hon. Member for North Westmeath on the 6th instant; there has been no further step since then.

EARL of RONALDSHAY

Would the right hon. Gentleman say who the British representatives are on this Société?

Sir E. GREY

The Société d'étude has not yet been finally constituted, and as soon as I can give definite information I will. It is in a very inchoate state. There is a Société d'étude which is in itself only a preliminary step; and that preliminary step is not yet completed.
