HC Deb 11 June 1912 vol 39 c687
43. Mr. PAGET

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware that by the recent Anglo-Portuguese commercial treaty, in return for a reduction in the Customs Duties on British goods entering the Portuguese Colonies, Great Britain has reduced the duty upon Portuguese wines entering this country; and whether he is prepared to make similar reductions in the duties imposed upon products of the Overseas Dominions imported into this country?

Mr. HARCOURT

I am not aware of the existence of such a treaty.
