71. Mr. RENDALL

asked the President of the Board of Education whether the public inquiry promised by his Department into a matter known as Nowes Charity, affecting the; education of boys in the districts. of Yeovil, Salisbury, and Romsey, has yet been definitely fixed; and whether he will comply with the representations made by the town councils of Yeovil, Salisbury, and Romsey, and deal with this long-delayed matter at once?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Pease)

The inquiry will be held as early as possible in July. I hope to be in a position to deal with the matter after I have received the report of the inquiry.
