HC Deb 15 July 1912 vol 41 c16
25. Sir J. D. REES

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has seen a petition to Parliament from 511,957 adults in Wales and Monmouthshire against the Welsh Disestablishment Bill; and, if so, what action the Government propose to take in the matter?

Mr. McKENNA

Until the petition in question has been before the Committee I am unable to make any observations upon it. The answer to the second part of the Question is that the Government intend to take the remaining stages of the Bill as soon as possible after the Recess.
