HC Deb 15 July 1912 vol 41 cc15-6
24. Lord H. CAVENDISH-BENTINCK

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, in reference to the subject of the insanitary surroundings in which clerks and typists are often obliged to work, whether he has yet consulted with the President of the Local Government Board as to whether the existing powers are sufficient to enable local authorities to deal with conditions injurious to persons employed, and whether any extension or amendment is desirable?

Mr. McKENNA

I am consulting with my right hon. Friend on the subject.
