HC Deb 15 July 1912 vol 41 c16
29. Mr. TOUCHE

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he can say whether instructions have been given to or by the Commissioner of Police to stop whist drives in the North London district?

Mr. McKENNA

So far as the Metropolitan Police District is concerned, the police will only take action if any breach of the law, as laid down in the recent case of Morris versus Godfrey, appears to have been committed.
