§ Mr. MASTERMANThe answer to the first two questions is in the affirmative. Sir Stafford Howard's post will not be filled and the duties hitherto attached to it will be divided between Mr. Leveson-Gower and my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Agriculture, acting in his capacity of Commissioner of Woods and Forests. Questions affecting sylviculture and forestry will be dealt with by the latter. The best way of obtaining further expert advice on the subject is under consideration.
