HC Deb 20 February 1912 vol 34 c455
Mr. C. BATHURST

asked whether the application of the Irish Agricultural Organisation Society for a grant out of the Development Fund for the advancement of its propagandist work, on similar lines to that for which grants have already been made to the English and Scottish agricultural organisation societies, has yet been brought before the Development Commissioners; and, if so, with what result?

Mr. MASTERMAN

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The application is under the consideration of the Commissioners.

Mr. C. BATHURST

Have the Development Commissioners felt themselves more bound to follow the advice of the Department of Agriculture in the case of the Irish society, than they did in the case of the English society, that of the Board of Agriculture?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I have no knowledge of that. I have no doubt the Commissioners will give entirely impartial consideration.
