HC Deb 19 December 1912 vol 45 cc1684-5
72. Sir C. KINLOCH-COOKE

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he can now state the arrangements as to the prize money due for the capture of dhows, guns, and ammunition, in the Persian Gulf by His Majesty's Ship "Perseus" in May, 1910?

Dr. MACNAMARA

As I have stated, the matter is still under consideration. More than one Department is concerned, and, as any payments are a matter of discretion and not of right, the question has necessitated a considerable amount of correspondence which has not yet been completed.

Sir C. KINLOCH-COOKE

When does the right hon. Gentleman expect that the correspondence will be completed?

Dr. MACNAMARA

I will take care that there will be no undue delay.
