HC Deb 11 December 1912 vol 45 c455
67. Sir J. D. REES

asked whether proposals have been submitted to the Secretary of State by the Government of India in order to preserve touch between that Government and the centres of commerce, of which Calcutta is the most important; if so, what has been the disposal; and what further reply has been given to the last letter the Calcutta Chamber of Commerce addressed to the Government of India on this subject?

Mr. HAROLD BAKER

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. The rest of the hon. Member's inquiries therefore do not arise.
