HC Deb 04 December 1912 vol 44 cc2300-1
Sir A. GRIFFITH-BOSCAWEN

I desire to ask the Prime Minister a question of which I have given him private notice: Whether he has observed that if the Welsh Church Bill is taken on Friday the Clause to be discussed under the Allocation of Time Motion will be Clause 3, which is a highly technical Clause dealing with the Ecclesiastical Courts and other legal questions, and, having regard to the great difficulty of Members of the House who are lawyers being down here in the morning, would he be willing to postpone the discussion?

The PRIME MINISTER

I have considered the hon. Member's suggestion which he was good enough to communicate to me last night in a sympathetic spirit, because I know the difficulties which beset my own profession. I regret, however, that I do not see my way to alter the arrangements for Friday's business, but I am still ready to consider any practical proposal which the hon. Member may submit.
