Mr. MacCALLUM SCOTT

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is able to inform the House as to the steps taken by the Government of Bermuda to deepen and widen the waterway of St. George's Channel so as to make it more useful for the mercantile marine visiting the Bermuda Islands?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Mr. Harcourt)

The Town Cut Channel leading into St. George's Harbour is now being dredged to a minimum depth of twenty-four feet at low water and this work is expected to be completed in 1914.
