HC Deb 27 November 1911 vol 32 cc38-9
Mr. GOLDMAN

asked whether the right hon. Gentleman proposes to move for the recommittal of Clause 51 of the National Insurance Bill, dealing with reserves, in view of the fact that there was no opportunity for a discussion of the financial provisions of the Bill?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

The answer is in the negative. I cannot accept the hon. Member's assumption that there was no opportunity for a discussion of the financial provisions of the Bill.

Mr. AMERY

Does the right hon. Gentleman consider that the finance of the Bill will not bear discussion?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

The hon. Member did not hear the latter part of my answer.
