HC Deb 24 May 1911 vol 26 c254
Mr. GINNELL

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether the Return relating to Government Loans in Ireland, of which notice stands on the Order Paper, will be granted?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Hobhouse)

Particulars of separate loans cannot be given; there are 33,000 such loans on the books of the Board of Works alone, and, apart from the question of supplying particulars as to Land Purchase advances in addition it is clearly impracticable to publish a Return of all such loans. Particulars as to the several classes of loan made by the Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland are given in Appendix G of the annual report of those Commissioners, to which I would refer the hon. Member.
