HC Deb 17 May 1911 vol 25 c2009
Mr. TYSON WILSON

asked the President of the Board of Trade at what stage the case of the Crown's claim to the foreshore at Seaview, Isle of Wight, has now arrived; and whether he can give any indication when the case is likely to be settled?

Mr. BUXTON

The Crown are still awaiting answers to the Interrogatories administered to the defendants in the suit Attorney-General r. Oglander and Glynn in December last. As I have already informed my hon. Friend, the alleged title of the defendants goes back many centuries, and it is impossible for me to say at present when the case is likely to be settled.
