§ Mr. CHARLES BATHURSTasked whether Mr. F. E. N. Rogers, now that he has been appointed a small holdings commissioner, will continue to act as a member of the Departmental Committee on Local and Imperial Taxation; and, if not, whom is it proposed to put upon the Committee in his place?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEThe answer to the first part is in the affirmative, and the second does not arise. The hon. Member is no doubt aware that Civil servants frequently serve on Committees and Royal Commissions, without detriment to the performance of their official duties.
