HC Deb 15 March 1911 vol 22 c2218
Sir CLEMENT KINLOCH - COOKE

asked whether, on mobilisation, officers of the Royal Marines are to be appointed to His Majesty's ships in lieu of officers of the Royal Naval Reserve; whether he will consider the advisability of abandoning such a course in view of its being prejudical to the best interests of the Service; and whether, in the event of officers of the Royal Marines being so appointed, he will state what their duties would be?

Mr. McKENNA

It is not in the public interest to give information as to the manning arrangements of ships of His Majesty's Fleet on mobilisation.
