HC Deb 20 February 1911 vol 21 c1538
MARQUESS Of TULLIBARDINE

asked the Prime Minister whether (1) upon the setting up in Ireland of the proposed parliament and executive, the control of the police and judiciary will also be immediately handed over; and, (2) whether the Government's scheme for Scots devolution will be introduced at the same time as the Irish one?

The PRIME MINISTER

It would be premature at present to make any statement on this subject.

MARQUESS of TULLIBARDINE

As the reply the right hon. Gentleman has given me is exactly similar to the reply the right hon. Gentleman gave to the electors in Scotland, may I ask whether he still considers that the details of the scheme have been sufficiently before the electors?

The PRIME MINISTER

I have nothing to add to the reply I have already given.

Viscount CASTLEREAGH

May I ask whether the right hon. Gentleman is determined to give no indication whatever of the nature of the Home Rule Bill before the Veto Bill comes up?

The PRIME MINISTER

I have nothing to add to the reply I have already given.
