HC Deb 20 February 1911 vol 21 cc1538-9
Mr. PETO

asked the Prime Minister whether the export to Canada of cutlery from the United Kingdom in 1909 was £87,000, as given in the Board of Trade Returns (Annual Statement of Trade); and whether he will consider the possibility and the importance of arranging the Board of Trade Returns of British trade with the Dominions, so as to call attention to the potentialities of trade as well as to the present dimensions of the trade?

Mr. BUXTON

The figure given in the first part of the question is correctly quoted from the Trade Returns. As regards the second part of the question, I am afraid it would hardly be wise to include prophecy among the multifarious duties of the Board of Trade.
