asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in pursuance of an assurance which he gave in the course of the Strike Debate at the end of last Session, he can now furnish the House with figures showing the amount of wages earned by the workers on all the railways according to grades, so as to be able to distinguish the average wage earned by each grade of railway workers?

Mr. ROBERTSON

The Report on the wages and hours of the various grades of railway servants is now in a forward state of preparation, and will be issued as soon as possible.

Mr. WEDGWOOD

Will the Return show not only the average wage, but also the average rate of wages, irrespective of overtime?

Will it distinguish between men and boys?
