HC Deb 29 March 1910 vol 15 c1159
Mr. LYNCH

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether he was aware that the landlords in West Clare have shown little disposition to facilitate the beneficent operations of the Land Act of 1909; and whether he would direct his attention particularly to the Leconfield and Stacpoole estates, so that the lands thereon may become available, without undue delay, for the purposes of the Act?

Mr. BIRRELL

I am not aware of any sufficient ground for the general statement contained in the first part of the question. Proceedings have already been instituted before the Estates Commissioners for the 6ale of a number of Leconfield and Stacpoole estates in county Clare, and there will be no undue delay in dealing with them.
