asked what is the existing strength of the police force at the Phœnix Park depot; and whether recruiting for the force is still maintained, and to what extent?

Mr. BIRRELL

The number of sergeants and constables at the Royal Irish Constabulary depot on 28th February was 609. Recruiting for the force continues up to a total of 10,250 sergeants and constables.
