Mr. BUXTONNo recent reports have been received by the Board of Trade with special reference to the condition of the beet sugar industry in Germany and France. A certain amount of statistical information bearing on the subject is, however, available, and can be placed at the disposal of the hon. Member if he will indicate exactly what he requires. I may say, however, that I have no official information as to the profits of German manufacturers.
