HC Deb 16 March 1910 vol 15 c344
Mr. FRANCE

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention had been drawn to the fact that the Canadian Government under their tariff were treating blankets in which noils had been to any extent used in the process of manufacture as though they were not pure wool blankets; and whether he would have information conveyed to the Canadian Government that noils were as a matter of fact pure wool, and thus remove the misapprehension from the minds of their officials under which they had been led into the mistake of putting these blankets into the wrong category?

Mr. BUXTON

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. A communication on the subject is being addressed to the Canadian Government.
