HC Deb 20 July 1910 vol 19 c1229
Mr. FELL

asked how many vessels belonging to the Government are now stationed on the West Coast of Africa for the purpose of assisting in the suppression of the traffic in slaves?

Mr. McKENNA

One vessel is stationed on the West Coast of Africa. I am not aware that there is any traffic in slaves there to be suppressed, but she has the necessary authority if the occasion arose.

Mr. FELL

Is the vessel at the Western station?

Mr. McKENNA

I could not state where the vessel is at present.
