§ Lord BALCARRES (for Mr. Lonsdale)asked whether the First Lord of the Admiralty has received a report upon the explosion which occurred on board the cruiser "Sutlej" on Friday last; and whether he can communicate the facts to the House?
§ Mr. McKENNANo report has been received yet beyond the statement of the fact that such an explosion did occur and of the deaths of the two men. The Commander-in-Chief is no doubt holding an inquiry into the circumstances and will report in due course.
