HC Deb 21 April 1910 vol 16 cc2298-9
Mr. FFRENCH

asked whether, as the farm on the Sweetman estate from which James Goodwin, of Killurin, was evicted in 1888 is in the occupation of other tenants, the Estates Commissioners will, as soon as they have any untenanted land at their disposal, consider his claim, as an evicted tenant, to a new holding?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Estates Commissioners have decided, after inquiry, not to take any action in this case.

Mr. FFRENCH

Can the right hon. Gentleman state why?

Mr. BIRRELL

No; it would not be in accordance with practice or wisdom to state their reasons.
