§ Mr. REESasked the Prime Minister if he can state when a Vote will be submitted to the House in connection with the Report of the Treasury Committee on the Organisation of Oriental Studies; whether an initial, as well as an annual, grant is proposed; and whether the House will be given any opportunity of discussing this subject?
§ The PRIME MINISTERNo Vote will be submitted to the House in this connection during the present Session. The details are still under consideration, and in the meantime I must refer my hon. Friend to what was said by my Noble Friend Lord Morley in another place, to which I have nothing at present to add.
