§ The ATTORNEY-GENERAL for IRELAND (Mr. Cherry)The sum paid by the Department was £807. A claim for damages has been made by the Department against the firm from which the seed: was purchased, and the matter is at present in the hands of the Department's legal advisers.
§ Mr. BARRIEAs this matter is now a year old, how much longer time is required before the Department press the claims?
§ Mr. CHERRYThe Department is-pressing the claims. The Law Officers were consulted and it is a very difficult and doubtful point if there is the right to-recover. We have advised in the matter, which cannot be tried until October.
