HC Deb 06 September 1909 vol 10 c903
Mr. CULLINAN (on behalf of Mr. Lundon)

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland what steps have been taken by the Estates Commissioners with regard to the distribution of the untenanted land on the Crosbie estate, at Newgarden, Ahane, county Limerick; and if the claims of the labourers and economic holders will get due preference?

Mr. BIRRELL

In the case of this estate the purchase agreements were not lodged with the Estates Commissioners until October last, and the estate cannot therefore be dealt with for some time to come. The Commissioners, when dealing with the property, will duly consider the wants and circumstances of the labourers and occupiers in the neighbourhood.
