HC Deb 04 November 1909 vol 12 c2006
Mr. GEORGE ROBERTS

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that the village of Modbury, Devon, is served postally by an auxiliary postman, a mail-cart driver who does a part delivery, and a third unestablished man; and whether he will consider the possibility of amalgamating these three duties into an established post?

Mr. BUXTON

I am having inquiry made as regards the suggestion of the hon. Member.

Mr. GEORGE ROBERTS

asked the Postmaster-General whether a vacancy is about to occur on the Rushmere to Kes-grave (Suffolk) rural postman's walk; and whether it is contemplated breaking up this established post into two or more unestablished duties to be performed by part-time unestablished persons; and, if so, whether he will take steps to retain the established character of this post?

Mr. BUXTON

The same answer applies. I will have inquiry made on the subject.
