HC Deb 02 November 1909 vol 12 cc1653-4
Mr. LEVY LEVER

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he has received any communication from the employés of the Great Eastern Railway with reference to a circular recently issued on the question of holidays; and, if so, has he made any reply thereto, and, if so, to what effect?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Trevelyan)

The Board of Trade have received no communication on this subject.

Mr. LEVY LEVER

Is it the case that no holidays will be paid for? If so, will the hon. Gentleman make representations to the railway company and use his influence to induce them to alter their decision?

Mr. TREVELYAN

I would ask the hon. Gentleman to put down a question on the Paper.
