§ Mr. ESSEXasked the Postmaster-General whether he can give a more direct telephone service from Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water to Cheltenham by wayleaves on the Banbury and Cheltenham line, or some other route?
§ Mr. S. BUXTONThe amount of telephone traffic between Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water on the one hand and Cheltenham on the other hand, at present is insufficient to justify the provision of a direct telephone line. Steps are being taken to improve the existing service.
§ Mr. ESSEXWill the right hon. Gentleman consider whether the diminution in the use of the telephone is in consequence of the bad service?
§ Mr. BUXTONIf my hon. Friend will give me any information, I will consider whether the service can be improved.
