HC Deb 17 May 1909 vol 5 c16
Mr. HENRY

Will the right hon. Gentleman say whether, in order that contributions to hospitals, institutions, associations and funds devoted exclusively to works of charity may not suffer by the Budget proposals as at present foreshadowed, he will consider providing that, in making returns for income tax, deductions may be made of amounts donated or subscribed to such objects, and for which vouchers can be produced?

Mr. LLOYD-GEORGE

I doubt whether it would be possible to give effect to my hon. Friend's suggestion, but I shall be glad to consider the point.
