§ Mr. BRIDGEMAN (for Captain Baring)asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware that the brewers' licence duty of 12s. per 50 barrels, as proposed in the Budget, will be approximately a tax of 3d. per barrel manufactured; and if he proposes to give a corresponding rebate per barrel upon beer exported from the United Kingdom, as is now done in the case of the beer duty of 7s. 9d. per barrel?
