§ The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Asquith)The question of the establishment of national granaries was fully considered four or five years ago by the Royal Commission on the Supply of Food and Raw Material in time of War, and the conclusions at which the Commission arrived will be found in the published Report. The subject has not since been brought before the Committee of Imperial Defence.
