Provisional Order Bills [Lords] (Standing Orders applicable thereto complied with),—Mr. Speaker laid upon the Table Report from one of the Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills that, in the case of the following Bills, originating in the Lords and referred on the first reading thereof, the Standing Orders which are applicable thereto have been complied with, viz.:—

Electric Lighting Provisional Orders (No. 1) Bill [Lords].

Gas and Water Orders Confirmation Bill [Lords].

Tramways Orders Confirmation Bill [Lords].

Ordered, That the Bills be read a second time to-morrow.

South-Western and Isle of Wight Junction Railway Bill [Lords] (King's Consent signified),—Bill read the third time, and passed, with Amendments.

North-Eastern Railway Bill [Lords] (by Order)—Order read for resuming Adjourned Debate on Amendment to Question [15th July], "That the Bill be now read a second time":—

Which Amendment was, to leave out the word "now," and at the end of the Question to add the words "upon this day three months."—[Mr. Summerbell.]

Question again proposed, "That the word 'now' stand part of the Question."—Debate resumed.
