HC Deb 29 July 1909 vol 8 c1343
Mr. CREAN

asked whether, prior to the passing of the Evicted Tenants (Ireland) Act, 1907, negotiations for the purchase of the evicted farms on the O'Grady estate, Carrigaline, county Cork, were not successful owing to the excessive price demanded by the owner; what action have the Estates Commissioners taken since the passing of this Act; and when may the five evicted tenants, who originally held those farms, expect to be reinstated?

Mr. CHERRY

Applications have been received by the Estates Commissioners from five persons claiming reinstatement on holdings on the estate of the Misses S. and M. O'Grady. All the papers in connection with the estate are with an inspector with a view to enabling the Commissioners to furnish a preliminary estimate of price.
