HC Deb 22 July 1909 vol 8 cc608-9
Mr. SUMMERBELL

asked the First Commissioner of Works if he is aware that some time ago a deputation of employés from Hampton Court, Richmond, and Bushey Parks appealed for an increase of wages to those employed S2ven days per week; and, if so, whether he can state what action, if any, it is proposed to take in regard to the matter?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER Of WORKS (Mr. Harcourt)

An appeal for an increase of wages was made by the employés in Hampton Court, Richmond, and Bushey Parks some time ago. I am, however, unable to state at present what can be done, the matter being still under discussion between myself and the Treasury.
