HC Deb 22 July 1909 vol 8 cc598-9
Mr. JOHN ROCHE

asked whether and offer has been made by the Estates Commissioners for the purchase of the Richardson Estate at Finquin, county Galway; has it been accepted; and, if so, can he state when the Commissioners will be in a position to distribute the untenanted land amongst tenants whose present holdings are uneconomic?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Estates Commissioners have had a preliminary inspection made of the estate and have estimated the price they would be prepared to- advance to the owner, who has since instituted formal proceedings for sale. A formal offer will be made by the Commissioners when the statutory requirements have been complied with.
