HC Deb 14 July 1909 vol 7 c2019
Mr. MEYSEY-THOMPSON

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty, if he would state whether Colonel Onslow, Royal Marine Light Infantry, was the officer who with Captain Bacon formed part of an Admiralty Sub-Committee on officers of the Royal Marines under the new system of training for the Navy?

Mr. McKENNA

I assume that the Sub-Committee referred to was that of Sir A. Douglas's Committee on the Training of New Scheme Officers, 1905. The members of the Sub-Committee were:—

  • Captain R. H. S. Bacon, D.S.O., R.N.
  • Colonel G. T. Onslow, C.B., R.M.L.I.
  • Major L. Conway-Gordon, R.M.A.
  • Mr. W. Graham Greene, C.B.
  • Commander T. E. Crease, R.N. (Secretary).
