HC Deb 19 August 1909 vol 9 c1525
Mr. A. J. BALFOUR

I wish to ask either the Chancellor of the Exchequer or the Prime Minister if, should the Government decide to alter the duties on liquor licences in the Finance Bill, the necessary Amendments will be placed on the Paper in time to give Members a full opportunity for their consideration.

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Asquith)

I can assure the right hon. Gentleman that I will do my utmost to meet the convenience of the House in regard to any Government Amendments which it may be necessary to put down to Part II. of the Finance Bill.
