HC Deb 30 October 1908 vol 195 c637
MR. BOLAND

TO ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the tenants on the O'Donoghue Estate, Glenbeigh, county Kerry, requested the Congested Districts Board to purchase the estate; can he state whether, as the result of negotiations, the estate has been offered to the Board by the owner or agents; and, if so, whether, with a view to completing the sale, the Congested Districts Board will now intimate their decision and take the necessary steps.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The O'Donoghue estate, county Kerry, was offered to the Congested Districts Board last year, but owing to want of funds for improvement works the Board have been unable to negotiate for the property, and the solicitor for the vendor was so informed in January last.
