HC Deb 25 November 1908 vol 197 cc391-2
MR. STUART SAMUEL (Tower Hamlets, Whitechapel)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in the event of a conference being called for the reconsideration of the provisions of the Treaty of Berlin, His Majesty's Government will endeavour to secure the observance of the engagements undertaken by Roumania towards her Jewish subjects in that Treaty.

* THE UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. MCKINNON WOOD,) Glasgow, St. Rollox

This Question would be beyond the scope of a conference summoned to deal with the difficulties arising out of recent events in the Balkan Peninsula.
