HC Deb 24 November 1908 vol 197 c119
MR. BENNETT

I beg to ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether the Board would urge upon the various county councils the importance of appointing in each county an expert lecturer and organiser for the purpose of establishing co-operation and other methods of agricultural enterprise amongst small holders; and whether the Board of Agriculture could see its way to render financial assistance towards this object from the funds at his disposal.

SIR EDWARD STRACHEY

The Board fully recognise the importance of this matter and are considering the whole question as to the best means to be adopted to encourage co-operation among small holder?, and the suggestion of the hon. Member will not be lost sight of.
