HC Deb 10 November 1908 vol 196 c42
MR. BARNARD (Kidderminster)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the Government are aware of the importance of the Poisons and Pharmacy Bill to agricultural and horticultural interests; and, if so, when do they propose to bring it forward in the House of Commons for its final stages, having regard to the fact that it has already passed the House of Lords after full investigation by a Joint Select Committee in June of this year, and to the recommendations of the Departmental Committee in their Report of 1903.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. GLADSTONE,) Leeds, W.

If, as there now seems some reason to hope, the Bill can be made practically non-controversial, I think it may be possible to proceed with it during the present session.
